Validated EV-DO Revision A Test Cases Available Only on Spirent C2K-ATS
Sunnyvale, Calif. - Spirent Communications plc. (LSE: SPT), a global provider of performance analysis and service management solutions, today announced that Spirent’s C2K-ATS platform is the industry’s first test system to run validated RF test cases for EV-DO Revision A technology based mobile devices. EV-DO Revision A is a next-generation cellular technology that increases the efficiency, data speeds and capacity of EV-DO networks.
The CDMA Certification Forum (CCF) validated that 18 RF conformance test cases on Spirent’s C2K-ATS test platform have been implemented per the 3GPP2's industry-standard C.S0033-A specification. With this validation, conformance to these tests becomes mandatory for CCF-certified Revision A devices.
“The CCF’s certification program drives higher quality and performance from CDMA mobile devices,” said Rob VanBrunt, Spirent Communication’s vice president of product management. “Spirent is now the only test solution provider to ensure mobile devices based on EV-DO Revision A technology are CCF-authorized.”
Spirent C2K-ATS is the leading automated test system for CDMA mobile devices. The Spirent C2K-ATS tests standard-based minimum performance and signaling conformance, and is also the first integrated test solution for location-capable CDMA phones. This type of testing helps manufacturers meet U.S. FCC E911 requirements. The system also tests non-standard-based device performance.
Spirent’s wireless test solutions aid in all phases of mobile device development and deployment for the world's leading chipset, mobile and infrastructure manufacturers and mobile network operators. Spirent’s is considered the "one-stop-shop" for CDMA handset performance and certification testing.
